20.3Doing things — actions and confirmation

Chapter 20 · Fusion AI — the assistant·1 min read

Ask the assistant to do something and it proposes an action:

  • create a customer, vendor, item or account;
  • draft a sales document (invoice, estimate, sales order, receipt, credit note), a purchase document (bill, purchase order, vendor credit), an expense, a journal entry, a budget, an inventory adjustment or transfer, a fixed-asset record, an HR record;
  • update or delete a document, or run a document action — mark as delivered, open, publish, void;
  • send a document by email or send an invoice follow-up;
  • categorise or match bank lines; act on approvals; run payroll steps.

Every proposal appears as a confirmation card — Review the details before confirming — listing exactly what will be created or changed (customer, dates, lines, amounts, accounts). When the assistant needs to create something the record does not yet have — a new contact, a new item — the card says Create new … so you can see it. Click Confirm to run it, or Cancel. Afterwards the reply links to the record (View invoice), which is fully editable in its module like anything else.

Each proposal is also recorded in Proposals, in the Fusion AI sidebar next to Chat and Workflows, with what was asked, what the assistant looked at, why it proposed the action, and — once run — the debit and credit it posted. A proposal you did not decide on in the chat can be approved or rejected there later; the chat's Review later in Proposals link opens it. The count beside Proposals, and a dot on the Fusion AI button in the top bar, show how many are waiting.
