The header shows the account name with a Plaid feed or Manual tag, Last sync, Code, Pending review, Last txn and Reconciled (the date the account is reconciled and locked through, or Never), and a summary of pending, categorised and excluded counts. Buttons: Refresh feed (connected accounts), Import transactions, Reconcile and — when a reconciliation lock exists — Unlock.
Three tabs, each with a live count:
- Pending review — bank lines not yet booked.
- Categorized — lines you have booked, with what each was Categorized as. Uncategorize sends one back to review.
- Excluded — lines you hid (duplicates, personal items). Restore brings one back; tick several and use the bulk Restore.
#Working the Pending review tab
Each row shows Date, Payee / Description, Reference, Withdrawal or Deposit, a Category picker and an action cluster.
Status tags on a row:
- Rule match (blue) — a Bank Rule has proposed a category.
- ✨ Suggested (purple) — LedgersLab predicted a category from how you booked similar lines before. Hover to see the reasoning.
- Pending — the bank has not fully posted the line yet.
For each line you can:
- Pick a category inline — the Category picker is pre-filled with the rule match or suggestion (it says Select income account for a deposit, Select category for a withdrawal). Adjust if needed and click Post. That is the fastest way through a long list.
- Open the caret next to Post for the fuller options:
- Categorize (details)… — a drawer with Category type (Expense, Income, Transfer) and the Account, filtered to sensible choices for that type.
- Find match — link the bank line to a transaction already in your books (a customer payment, a bill payment, a transfer) instead of creating a duplicate. The drawer shows Perfect matches (amount and date agree) and Possible matches; click Match next to the right one.
- Categorization history — how similar lines were booked before.
- Create rule — start a Bank Rule from this line (section 8.7).
- Exclude — hide the line from review.
- Bulk actions — tick several rows and use Categorize (all to one category) or Exclude from the bar that appears; Clear drops the selection.
