1.4Joining an organisation you were invited to

Chapter 1 · Getting started·2 min read·1 topic

If a colleague has already set up your company's workspace they will invite you rather than asking you to register. You receive an email with an invitation link.

  1. Click the link. The page first says Checking your invitation…, then Join [Company name] — "Finish creating the account for [your email]."
  2. The page shows You'll join as [your name] — the name the administrator entered when inviting you. If it is wrong, click Not you? Edit and correct First name and Last name.
  3. Enter a Password (at least 8 characters) and Confirm password. The two must match.
  4. Click Accept invitation. You are taken to the sign-in page with a green Invitation accepted banner reminding you which email to use.
  5. Sign in with that email and your new password. Because the organisation already exists you go straight to the Workspace — there is no setup wizard.

#If you already have a LedgersLab sign-in

When the invitation is for an email that already signs in to LedgersLab (for another company), you do not create a new account or password — the company is added to the sign-in you already have.

  1. Click the link. The page reads Join [Company name] — "[your email] already has a LedgersLab sign-in. Sign in with it to accept."
  2. Click Sign in as [your email] and sign in as usual. (If this browser is signed in as someone else, the button reads Sign out and sign in as [your email].)
  3. You come back to the invitation. Click Accept and open [Company name]. The app opens in the new company.

From then on the company name in the top bar switches between your companies (Chapter 2, section 2.3).

What you can see and do inside the workspace depends on the role the administrator gave you (Chapter 22, Users and Roles). Modules or buttons you do not have permission for are simply not shown.
