#Migration playbook
The 8-step cutover playbook for moving your books onto this system. Each step links to the page that owns the data — no duplication. The steps are Chart of Accounts, Tax Rates, Customers & Vendors, Items / Products, Opening Trial Balance, Open AR / Open AP, Connect Bank and First Reconciliation, each marked done automatically when the data exists (or ticked off by hand), with a progress bar and Refresh.
#Migrate from Tally
- First, export a file from Tally — the Master.xml export.
- Then upload it here — click or drag the file.
- Preview — Here's what will be imported: ledgers mapped to account types, units, and any items flagged Problem / Check this / For your information (for example Use a unit I already have).
- Migrate — confirm Migrate this Tally data into your books?. The run reports Created, Already there and Failed records; Migration history keeps every run, and a run can be Undone.
#QuickBooks Online
Connect with Connect QuickBooks (you are taken to Intuit to authorise). Then Map accounts & sync — pair each QuickBooks account with one of yours or Create new local account on sync — and Reconcile trial balance: pick the Cutover date and Accounting method, run it, and review each account as Match, Mismatch, QBO only or Local only. Lock books through [date] when clean, or Generate opening balance JE to draft the adjusting journal.
#Stripe
Connect Stripe completes Stripe Connect onboarding; the card then shows Connected, Charges enabled and Payouts enabled. Under Payout reconciliation choose the bank account that receives Stripe payouts so each payout posts Dr Bank · Dr Stripe fees · Cr Stripe Clearing and the bank feed reconciles. Disconnect stops online payments; history is kept.
#Gusto Payroll
Connect your Gusto account so each completed payroll automatically posts a balanced journal entry into your ledger. LedgersLab never runs payroll or touches tax filing — it only reads finished runs. The card shows the Connection, Gusto company ID and Last payroll posted, with Sync now and Disconnect. Once connected, Accounting → Payroll lists the runs (Chapter 9, section 9.8) and the HRMS payroll pages are hidden.
