12.13Fixed-asset reports

Chapter 12 · Fixed Assets·1 min read

Under Reports → Fixed Assets. Reports over a range open on the company's current fiscal year, in its own calendar.

  • Asset register — every asset on the books on a date: Cost, Acc. Depr., NBV, status, location, department and cost centre, valued as they stood that day (a later revaluation or depreciation doesn't show in an earlier date). Under the report's settings, filter by Category, Location, Department, Status or Cost centre, and Group by any of them for subtotals. An asset split between cost centres is shared out by its percentages, so the groups add up to the register.
  • Depreciation and balances — for each category, cost and accumulated depreciation at the start of the range, Additions, Revalued / improved, Disposals, the Charge, Write-downs, depreciation Brought in with already-owned assets, and the Closing figures and net book value. The closing columns are the asset register on the end date.
  • Depreciation report — depreciation charged in a range by category, department and asset, for any Book.
  • Depreciation ledger — every depreciation and write-down posted, per asset, with its journal.
  • Asset activity — what happened to each asset: acquired, put in use, moved, changed, revalued, written down, paused, disposed. Filter by Event.
  • Asset maintenance — maintenance and repairs logged, their cost, and whether expensed, added to the asset's cost or not posted.
  • Disposal report — every disposal in a range with proceeds and the gain or loss.
  • Asset age analysis — assets by age bucket, for replacement planning.
